Using this website
This website is run by Robert Scotts Commerce LTD, trading as The Beneficiary. By using it you agree to these terms.
The Beneficiary is not open yet and we have not set an opening date. We try to keep this website correct and up to date, but details can change before we open.
Please do not misuse the website, for example by trying to break it or by sending false details through our forms.
The mailing list
If you sign up, we will email you about shows and our opening. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email. Our privacy policy explains how we look after your email address.
Tickets
Tickets are not on sale yet. When they are, these terms will apply.
- We sell tickets ourselves. You pay on a checkout page run by Stripe.
- The price we show is the total price. We add no booking fee at checkout.
- We do not charge extra for paying by card.
- Your email confirmation is your ticket.
- A ticket is for a show on a specific date. Because of that, the usual 14 day right to cancel an online order does not apply. This is an exception in the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 for leisure events on a set date.
- If we cancel a show, we will refund the full ticket price.
- If we move a show to another date, you can choose a refund.
Hiring the hall
Sending us a hire enquiry is not a booking. A booking only exists once we confirm it to you in writing. Each booking comes with its own terms.
Coming to a show
Please follow the instructions our staff give you. We may refuse entry, or ask someone to leave, where that is needed to keep people safe.
The building is Grade II* listed and the hall is upstairs.
Our liability
Nothing in these terms limits or removes our liability for:
- death or personal injury caused by our negligence
- fraud
- any rights the law gives you as a consumer
Apart from that, we are only responsible for loss that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to take reasonable care.
Complaints
If something has gone wrong, email admin@robertscotts.com and we will try to put it right.
We do not use an alternative dispute resolution provider. The law asks us to tell you that.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer living in another part of the UK, you keep the protection of the law where you live and can use your local courts.
